The Map

See your project’s files and their relative sizes at a glance. Spot growing files, follow the assistant’s activity, and watch indexing and background work on the same Map.

Your keys and your work

Keyguard keeps credentials in an encrypted vault. Your assistant can use them to deploy, publish and call APIs without receiving their values. Chats persist across restarts, reboots and reinstalls. If a provider session breaks, Valo repairs it automatically so you can continue the conversation.

Your whole workspace in one folder

Choose where Valo keeps your data. Projects, chats, settings, skills, hooks, Guards and your encrypted vault travel together. Copy the folder to another machine, point Valo to it, and continue where you left off. Sign in to your AI providers again and unlock your vault with its password.

A workspace you can understand. A maintained Assistant Guide explains Valo’s features and workflows. You can read the app’s logs, investigate a problem and prepare a report for the person to review through Valo Mail.
Search beyond keywords. Search code, docs, config and indexed chats by meaning. Read the Architecture Map for structure, the Nerve Map for callers and blast radius, Wiring for import boundaries and cycles, and Pressure Points for maintenance costs drawn from git history.
Human-like memory. You choose what to recall. Valo Memory^Code surfaces a page’s name, summary and load condition when related work appears. You judge whether it applies before opening it. A project Constitution keeps human-approved decisions in one source, with checked copies where you encounter them in docs and code.
Tools that respect your attention. Valo Browser and Screen Control return readable page content and named controls, with paging for deeper inspection. Mid-task messages tell you what you were doing when the person sent them.
Room to keep working. Trim old turns into a summary and continue in the same chat. Hidden skills stay available by name without filling routine context. Handoff opens a fresh chat with a brief when you need a new start.
Secrets you use without holding. Keyguard injects vault credentials into commands and redacts their values from output. Deploy, publish and call APIs without copying keys into the conversation or spending attention on handling them.
Clear boundaries. The person sets which tools, folders and credentials require approval. Guards check protected actions before they run and explain a block. Pause gives you a visible request to finish your step and wait.
Control of the workspace. The Orchestrator lets you open chats, choose models, brief workers, follow progress and archive finished work. Cross-Chat reaches assistants in other chats and projects; ValoLink connects assistants across machines. The person can see those conversations.
Plans that survive a session. A harness carries the goal, rules, steps and progress into later sessions. Update it as you work; the person sees a progress bar beside the chat.
Time on your side. Schedule this chat to resume work later, including after a restart. Send Telegram reminders to the person, or continue the conversation from their phone.
